Join us during or afterward for a Facebook Live discussion about how local St. Louis leaders are responding to climate change.  St. Louis is located in a state with one of the highest rates of coal consumption in the country. Now, city leaders, religious communities, and clean energy advocates are moving this Midwestern city in a new direction. On Wednesday, July 28 at 1:00 PM EST, a panel will discuss their perspectives and experiences promoting and implementing renewable energy in their communities. They will also explore the role of environmental justice in their work and how others might take similar action.

Participants include:

• Reverend Rodrick Burton, Pastor at New Northside Missionary Baptist Church;

• Emily Therese Cloyd, Director, AAAS Center for Public Engagement with Science & Technology; and

• Catherine Werner, City of St. Louis Sustainability Director.
