Dr. Press' affiliations at University of Texas include memberships in the Institute for Cellular and Molecular Biology and in the Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences. He is also a senior fellow emeritus at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in the Statistical Sciences group. His research focuses on computational biology, genomics, and computational statistical methods. Previously he served as Deputy Laboratory Director for Science and Technology at Los Alamos National Laboratory and as Professor of Astronomy and Physics at Harvard University and a member of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. Dr. Press is a member of the U.S. President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology.

Dr. Faust took office as Harvard University's president in 2007. A historian of the U.S. Civil War and the American South, Dr. Faust is also the Lincoln Professor of History in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. She previously served as founding dean of the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study and as the Annenberg Professor of History at the University of Pennsylvania. She received her bachelor's degree from Bryn Mawr and master's and doctoral degrees in American civilization from the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Termeer served as chairman, president, and chief executive officer of Genzyme Corporation for nearly three decades. He is a co-chair of the Leadership Council of the Massachusetts Life Sciences Collaborative and chairman emeritus of the New England Healthcare Institute. He is a board member of Abiomed, Inc., AVEO Pharmaceuticals, Verastem, Inc. and Medical Simulation. Mr. Termeer is a board member of Massachusetts Institute of Technology Corporation and serves on its executive committee, a director of Massachusetts General Hospital, a board member of Partners HealthCare, and a member of the Board of Fellows of Harvard Medical School.
