Coding and Creativity: Panel Discussion and Interactive Reception

Please join the AAAS Arts Program and the STArt (science and art) affinity group of AAAS S&T Policy Fellowships for an evening where participants will discuss the Technovisual exhibit and consider the use of simulation, modeling and visualization software by artists and scientists to uncover trends, simulate complex phenomenon and create unique aesthetic experiences.

Panelists will give brief talks, followed by a reception with interactive activities and light refreshments.

Speakers include:

  • David Odde, University of Minnesota, professor of biomedical engineering
  • Amelia Winger-Bearskin, exhibition artist
  • Michael Mansfield, Smithsonian, curator of video art
  • Kirk Cameron, Virginia Tech, art professor, computational sculptor
