Meeting societal demands for safe and secure food and water requires scientists to engage in dialogue with myriad publics, including policy makers, farmers, water resource managers, and everyday consumers. During this Colloquium, members of the 2018-2019 cohort of AAAS Leshner Public Engagement Fellows will share the ways that they have engaged audiences around food and water security and how they have used those interactions to spur innovations in their own research. The presentations will be followed by a 30-minute discussion with the audience.
