Join us on Friday January 10th at 12 PM EST for our next online #SciEngage discussion! We’ll be hearing about the NSF-funded project, “Integration of Science Outreach into the Research Enterprise," which aims to uncover how science outreach is valued among fellow researchers, learn what motivates scientists to participate in science outreach, and examines how gender and race may influence participation in science outreach.
Jeanne Garbarino, Director of RockEDU at The Rockefeller University, and Niki Woitowich, Associate Director of the Center for Reproductive Science at Northwestern University, will share the motivations behind this project and discuss how the science outreach community can support these research efforts.
The session will be recorded. More information about these sessions are on this Center for Public Engagement webpage. To ask questions in advance or continue the discussion afterward, see this Trellis discussion post. You may also request to join the #SciEngage email list.
