#SciEngage Virtual Discussion (March): Building Community for Professional Science Communicators

Join us for the next SciEngage discussion on Friday, March 6 at 12PM ETDo you sometimes feel like you just happened into a career in science communication and engagement? Many of us started our careers in other areas – bench or field science, journalism, marketing, then gravitated toward science communication, but without formal training or a feeling of community. That desire for community was the impetus for Science Talk – a professional organization for science communicators. Drs. Kiki Sanford and Allison Coffin will discuss the past, present, and future of Science Talk. Learn about who attends and what to expect at our conference, and our current efforts looking beyond the annual conference, which takes place March 26-27th this year. Do you have questions or ideas for us? We want to hear from the SciEngage community about how we can continue to responsively address the needs of the developing professional science communication community.

The session will be recorded. More information about these sessions are on this Center for Public Engagement webpage.

To ask questions in advance or continue the discussion afterward, visit this Trellis discussion page. You may also request to join the #SciEngage email list.
