Hearing on future of research universities

At the end of the June 27 hearing before the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee on the recently released NRC report on Research Universities and the Future of America, Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL), chairman of the Subcommittee on Research and Science Education, asked the witnesses for specific examples of ways to streamline and improve the regulatory burden on institutions of higher education.

Witnesses at the hearing discussed the growing number and increasing complexity of a range of regulations for universities and colleges.
