AAAS’s R&D Budget and Policy Program wrote summaries of what select research and development-intensive federal agencies can expect to see in their FY 2024 budget – the fiscal year that starts in just one month. As of right now nothing is final, and we are currently expecting a continuing resolution that will extend the FY 2023 budget until around December. Here are the starting positions that the House and Senate will be negotiating on this fall.
Additionally, if you’re interesting in seeing how much ‘pure’ R&D the federal government will be funding under both of those plans, we have an estimate of exactly how many dollars will go towards the performance of R&D in the next fiscal year.
