AAAS CEO to Speak at Asian Science Conferences

This November, AAAS CEO Rush Holt will be the featured speaker at two major conferences in Asia.
Holt will be giving keynote addresses at the 2016 edition of the Science Agora in Japan on Nov. 3 and at the Science & Creativity Annual Conference (SCAC) in South Korea on Nov. 8.
Science Agora (which means meeting place in Greek) is an open forum where people from all different walks of life come together to exchange ideas on how to better society through science.  The conference strives to be “a platform for people to build a future society where science is inherently rooted through collaboration and mutual respect for diverse values.”
SCAC is in its 6th year. The Science & Creativity Annual Conference welcomes roughly 3,000 scholars, experts, policy makers, science teachers and scientists from around the world to discuss the newest trends in science. Holt will be speaking about science diplomacy in relation to the 4th Industrial Revolution at this year’s conference.
Also on this trip, Holt will visit Beijing for the first time as AAAS CEO to meet with Chinese scientific leaders and renew the partnership between AAAS and the China Association for Science & Technology.
