AAAS Image Analysis Corroborates Widespread Destruction in Osh, Kyrgyzstan

These before-and-after satellite images of the Cheremushki neighborhood, west of Osh, Kyrgyzstan, captured 15 March 2007 [top] and 18 June 2010 [bottom], reveal widespread destruction. Overall, AAAS concluded: “The city of Osh appears to have been substantially damaged by widespread violence that completely destroyed some neighborhoods while leaving other, adjacent ones, undamaged.”
