FY23 Omnibus Bill Includes Partial Funding for CHIPS and Science Act

Just months after passage of the landmark bipartisan CHIPS and Science Act, congressional appropriators revealed a FY 2023 omnibus appropriations bill, which provides historic funding to reinvigorate the U.S. innovation ecosystem and demonstrate tangible American leadership in science and technology. Increases to agencies such as NSF, NIH, NIST and DOE’s Office of Science – including critical biomedical funding for ARPA-H – are imperative to meet the myriad of challenges we face nationally and globally. We thank lawmakers for their continued support of U.S. research. There is still much work to do, and we must not lose momentum.
