Austin Brown, 2008-10 Executive Branch Fellow at USAID, is heading to California to start his new position as executive director of the UC Davis Policy Institute for Energy, the Environment, and the Economy. He will engage with policymakers and researchers to improve the links between science, credible analysis and decision making.
2012-15 Executive Branch Fellow at USAID Katherine Himes has become director of the James A. and Louise McClure Center for Public Policy Research at the University of Idaho. Katherine will build relationships with state and local policymakers and other stakeholders to identify policy issues of importance to Idaho and look into research opportunities for the Center and university at large.
2011-12 AMS Legislative Branch Fellow Richard Yamada is the new deputy assistant administrator for the Office of Research and Development at the Environmental Protection Agency. In his role, Richard will advise Administrator Pruitt and EPA leadership on science, research and development issues.
