Danielle Carnival, 2010-12 Executive Branch Fellow in the Executive Office of the President, has accepted a position as vice president of the Biden Cancer Initiative. She will work on issues across the cancer research and care system and lead staff toward a vision to double the rate of progress in cancer prevention, detection, diagnosis, treatment and care.

Rachel Licker, 2015-17 Executive Branch Fellow at U.S. Department of State, is now senior climate scientist with the Union of Concerned Scientists in the Climate and Energy Program. Rachel will contribute to the Union’s ongoing efforts to combat global warming and develop sustainable ways to feed, power and transport ourselves.

Vaughan Turekian, 2002-04 Executive Branch Fellow at U.S. Department of State, has accepted a position as director of science and technology for the Sustainability Program at the National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine. Vaughan is known for his work as the most recent Science and Technology Adviser to the Secretary at the Department of State.
