David Szymanski (2008-2009 Congressional Fellow sponsored by the Geological Society of America) has become director of the Bentley University Valence Center for Arts & Sciences Center where he engages students in research for nonpartisan policy development on energy, climate, and natural resources issues.

Vaughan Turekian (2002-04 Executive Branch Fellow at the State Department), former AAAS Chief International Officer, is now Science and Technology Adviser to the Secretary of State. He is in charge of integrating scientific expertise into diplomatic efforts, drawing on his background in policy and environmental sciences.
