Abigail Regitsky, 2018-19 fellow sponsored by the American Physical Society, has joined staff director Ana Unruh Cohen, 2001-02 fellow sponsored by the American Meteorological Society, at the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis. The committee was created earlier this year to deliver ambitious policy recommendations for Congressional action to address the climate crisis. “I am so grateful for my fellowship experience and the connections I made, which directly impacted my move to the Select Committee,” said Abigail.

Melissa Day, 2015-2017 fellow at EPA and 2017-18 alumna fellow at USAID, is now a scientific analyst in the Web of Science Group at Clarivate Analytics. She evaluates research impact and “pulls bibliometric data to support a story about what funders, universities and institutions have achieved,” she said. Day credits the skills she honed as a fellow as the reason she landed her new gig. “As a grad student I never thought about what the funder did with my paper, but as part of a federal funding agency, I definitely needed to care about post-publication communication and metrics!”
