Many people are scared of insects, and few others appreciate what these tiny critters can do. But not Marlene Zuk, she's been fascinated by insects since she was a child. Zuk, a member of AAAS, is the author of Sex on Six Legs: Lessons on Life, Love and Language from the Insect World. In this audio slideshow she reads an expert from her book, describing how many people feel about insects, and why we all should think differently about insects.
The images in this slideshow were generously provided by Alex Wild, an insect photographer. See more of his images at AlexanderWild.com and learn more about Marlene Zuk on her website.
