Abigail Hils

Program Associate

A marine ecologist by training, Abigail spent several years in research and academia logging bottom time exploring new coral reefs, trudging through mangroves and rainforest identifying birds, and scavenging for insects in the prairies of Ohio. Over the last decade, she developed engaging K-20 environmental education programs, facilitated professional development training for high school to postdoc students, and collaborated with government agencies to enhance the quality and scope of their science education. Abigail earned her M.A. in environmental sciences and a B.Phil. in interdisciplinary studies from Miami University (OH). She helps manage multiple grants focused on K-12 access, diversity, and inclusion.
