Christine Rovner

Senior Program Manager

Christine Rovner manages partnerships with federal host agencies and offices facilitating day-to-day coordination of fellows. This entails conducting selection and placement processes; monitoring and reporting on fellowship activities; and serving as a liaison and guide to fellows and their mentors. She also contributes to planning and conducting orientation sessions and participates in outreach and recruitment efforts.

Christine joined AAAS in 2016 with more than 15 years of experience, with a focus on international security and nonproliferation issues. For four years, she directed Student Pugwash USA to connect college and graduate students with science and technology policy, emphasizing career development and communicating about science policy. Throughout her career she has cultivated relationships in science, academia, and government in the United States and abroad.

Christine graduated from Goucher College with a double degree in international relations and Russian.
