Elana Kimbrell is the communication program officer for the American Association for the Advancement of Science’s Center for Public Engagement with Science and Technology. She runs the Communicating Science Seminar at the AAAS Annual Meeting, writes news stories for the Center and for the Office of Communications, facilitates Communicating Science workshops, and supports other Center programs and projects, particularly those on climate communication. She previously worked on strategic communication and public involvement for environmental and energy projects, and has a Master’s in International Environmental Policy (Boston University) and a Bachelor’s in International Relations (Mount Holyoke College).
