@erikakcarlson
I am a graduate student in the Department of Astronomy at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where I have been gaining science writing experience by working with the university’s communications office and broadcasting space and astronomy news on “Radio Astronomy,” a podcast and news show on WORT, the Madison community radio station. Before moving to Madison, I earned by bachelor’s degree in physics at Pomona College in Claremont, CA and worked at the Carnegie Observatories in Pasadena, CA. I intend to pursue a career as a science writer and am excited to write for Discover magazine as a AAAS Mass Media Fellow this summer.
