Jamila Blake is the Project Manager for the S-STEM Resource and Evaluation Center (REC). Jamila supports the S-STEM REC through facilitation of community building, development of resources, and promotion of professional development opportunities for S-STEM Researchers and Scholars. She earned her MPA with a concentration in Nonprofit Management from American University and received her B.S. in Wildlife Conservation and Ecology from the University of Delaware. Prior to joining AAAS, Jamila was the Professional Development and Inclusion Manager at The Wildlife Society, where she worked to develop leadership training and mentorship programs, collaborated with members and partner organizations to cultivate diverse, equitable, and inclusive spaces for students and professionals, and engaged in community outreach to promote learning and professional development. She brings experience leading grant-funded projects and collaborative initiatives to promote and improve equitable and inclusive practices across professional societies and scientific disciplines.
