Martin Fernandez is a Program Associate with the Research Competitiveness Program (RCP). Prior to joining RCP, Martin worked for the National Science Foundation’s Division of Graduate Education, largely on the CyberCorps: Scholarship for Service program and other cybersecurity related competitions. Additionally, Martin served as the Executive Secretary for the FC-STEM (Federal Committee on STEM Education) Graduate Education Subcommittee. Martin was also previously a Research Assistant with AAAS’ Project 2061—contributing to biology curriculum design and assessment research and development—and has worked in several capacities at the Pan American Health Organization.
Martin holds an MS in Biomedical Anthropology from Binghamton University and a BA in Anthropology from Syracuse University, with lab and field experience in a variety of human biology topics.
