Melissa Morris directs the planning and implementation of the professional development (PD) program for the S&T Policy Fellowships (STPF). She oversees annual PD processes and procedures and conducts formative and summative evaluation to inform strategic planning. She collaborates closely with other STPF staff to ensure effective programming for the fellows.
She has served in public education for more than 20 years in a variety of roles. Most recently, she was instrumental in the development, implementation and support of the educator evaluation initiative for the Colorado Department of Education.
She earned a Ph.D. in educational leadership from Old Dominion University, a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in biological sciences and psychology.
Melissa enjoys traveling and pursuing outdoor adventures with her husband and rescue dog. An avid baseball fan, Melissa has the goal of attending all the major league ballparks.
