Michael Wheeler II
Michael Wheeler provides logistical and administrative support across the Science & Technology Policy Fellowships (STPF), including acting as special assistant to the Director, Cynthia Robinson. He works to assess and plan program-wide operations to ensure effective and efficient management. Michael also acts as the primary liaison to the Fellowships Advisory Committee.
Prior to joining AAAS, Michael worked in administration at a medical school and upon moving to the DC area, he spent over seven years in government consulting providing program/project management and communications services. This experience lead him to obtain a Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification in 2014. He holds a bachelor’s degree in international studies and a master’s degree in hospitality and tourism management from the University of South Carolina, where he was also highly involved in the music program.
In his spare time, Michael enjoys reading, playing euro-style board games with his wife, and is an ardent follower of Korean electro/synth and bubblegum pop music.
