Veronica Raymond, 2007 Intern

I was given an opportunity that many journalism students would love. I was able to work side by side with award winning journalists and editors. The experience proved to be very valuable and allowed me to view the world of journalism from an interesting vantage point. I had the chance to learn as well as do. I learned a lot about myself. The biggest thing was that journalism was what I wanted to do. I thrived under the busyness and the pressure of deadlines.

During internships I think the decision to pursue a career can come to a make or break point, and for me it was “make.” The experience was rewarding and enriching and helped me to grow as a journalist.
