The CASE Workshop program is open to universities and professional scientific or engineering societies that would like to provide an opportunity for their students to come to Washington, DC, and learn about science policy. Students who are selected by their institution to participate in the workshop will spend several days learning about the structure and organization of Congress, the federal budget and appropriations process, and tools for effective science communication and civic engagement.

Sponsoring institutions may sponsor up to 4 students and are responsible for a registration fee of $325 for each student, as well as all associated travel and lodging costs for their students. In addition, staff at sponsoring universities and professional societies are responsible for scheduling (optional) visits to Capitol Hill, and are welcome to accompany participating students during those visits.

Students being sponsored by their university or society should NOT complete the AAAS student application.
