Public Science Day
Public Science Day occurs each year as the opening event for the AAAS Annual Meeting. Hosted in the city where the meeting is being held, the program helps students in grades K – 12 understand the increasing importance that science and technology plays in their lives.

The Emerging Researchers National (ERN) Conference in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)
The ERN Conference, hosted by EHR and the National Science Foundation (NSF) Division of Human Resource Development (HRD) is aimed at college and university undergraduate and graduate students who participate in programs funded by the NSF HRD Unit, including underrepresented minorities and persons with disabilities.

AAAS Pitts Family Minority Science Writers Internship Program: Applications Deadline 1 March 2016
AAAS's Science magazine, along with the Pitts Family Foundation, offers a unique 10-week paid summer internship for minority students who are interested in a career in journalism and want to learn about science writing. The internship, which includes a stipend and travel costs to and from Washington, DC, is under the guidance of the award-winning science writers and editors of the world’s largest interdisciplinary science journal.
