Kerrin Hensley

Bio

I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Astronomy at Boston University, where I study how the Sun affects plasma in the atmosphere of Venus. In addition to research, I am the first-ever American Astronomical Society Media Fellow, writer for AAS Nova, and former Astrobites author and editor. Before starting grad school, I earned my bachelor's degree in Astrophysics and Chinese from Williams College, worked at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and taught English in Taiwan as a Fulbright grantee. I'm interested in pursuing a career in science writing and I'm very excited to work at Voice of America this summer!
