Meghan Willcoxon

Bio

I am a PhD student in cognitive science at Brown University. My research investigates how humans -- similar to birds and fish -- self-organize and move collectively through a crowd.

Since starting graduate school, I became passionate about how science is communicated to and perceived by various audiences. Communicating science in a way that is both accessible and thought-provoking is my goal as a science writer, and I am excited to develop this skill at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. I am grateful to the AAAS for this opportunity and to the APS for the sponsorship.
