Office of Government Relations Internship
The Office of Government Relations conducts an integrated program of activities designed to provide timely, objective information to Members of Congress and their staff on current science and technology issues.
Who Should Apply
Candidates should have an interest in the intersection of science, technology, and public policy; excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly in writing for popular audiences; and a strong academic background. All majors will be considered, with priority given to the natural and social sciences, and engineering.
What the Job Involves
The Office typically offers spring and summer internships for qualified undergraduate or graduate students. Activities may include attending hearings, writing articles for our newsletter, preparing and maintaining issue briefs published on the Web, and assisting with other activities, such as congressional briefings.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn about science and technology policy, and to gain experience working with Congress and legislative issues.
The Office of Government Relations is not currently seeking an intern.
