Educators, researchers, school administrators, policymakers, and others joined Project 2061 staff for the launch of Toward High School Biology, a new curriculum unit designed to help middle school students build the foundation in chemistry they need for success in the biology classes of today. Can data generated by “green schools” provide a compelling context for helping students understand important STEM concepts? Project 2061 researchers have explored some possibilities. Read more.
III. Project 2061 to Present Findings at Upcoming Conferences
Project 2061 researchers will share results from their assessment and curriculum work at two key education conferences this spring. Presentations will focus on findings from efforts to improve science assessments for English learners, design and test a new NGSS-aligned curriculum, and develop a set of instruments for measuring students’ knowledge of energy concepts.
