Student Opportunities

The Coalition is dedicated to increasing opportunities for engagement with students. Indeed, in January 2017, the first entirely student-led organization, the Case Western Reserve University Science and Human Rights Coalition, joined the Coalition as a full member. Click on the links in the menu to explore several opportunities for students, including competitions and a toolkit for holding science and human rights events on campus.

In 2021, in addition to the annual Student Essay Competition, the Coalition launched the new FutureGen Scholars initiative for undergraduate and graduate students. Read about the 2021 essay winners here. For more information on the FutureGen recipients, visit the FutureGen Scholars page.

Student initiatives within the AAAS Science and Human Rights Coalition are made possible by the AAAS-Andrew M. Sessler Fund for Science, Education, and Human Rights.
