The USA Science & Engineering Festival inaugural event took place in Washington, DC in 2010. It was founded by Larry Bock with support from other organizations including AAAS. The Festival has continued, growing and evolving every other year since. The Festival mission is to stimulate and sustain the interest of our nation's youth in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) by producing and presenting the most compelling, exciting, and educational Festival in the world.
The 2020 event is being held virtually September 26- October 3- with access to the event site extended to October 31. SciFest All Access is a FREE entertaining, educational online STEM experience for K-12 students, college students, educators, and families with interactive halls, stage shows, and a STEM store.
STEM Education and Center for Public Engagement with Science are managing the 2020 AAAS Booth.
