This report responds to a National Science Foundation (NSF) need to assess the performance and accomplishments of its Science and Technology Centers (STC) Integrative Partnerships Program, 2000-2009, against program goals and objectives in research, education, knowledge transfer, diversity, and integrative partnerships. In assessing the effectiveness of the STC mode of support for addressing grand science and technology challenges and emerging opportunities, the report envisions how the STC program can continue to advance U.S. leadership in science and technology.
