Judicial Branch Fellowship
At the Federal Judicial Center, engage with contemporary policy issues facing the judiciary while contributing your scientific and technical expertise to judicial administration, operations, education programs, protocol and discovery, or courtroom technology. Help develop recommendations and guidance for the federal courts. Suited for mid- to senior-level scientists and engineers, this fellowship is a unique opportunity to develop new research projects and apply mature scholarship to real world policy problems.
Note: With one placement each year, this program area is open to applicants with a minimum of three years of post-doctoral professional experience. Applicants with a J.D. degree or legal experience are preferred.
Fellowship experiences can vary considerably between fellows and between fellowships in different branches of government. Read about one fellow's judicial branch experience below. Click here to learn about other fellowships.
