Mamadi is a sociology professor from East Carolina University. As a fellow, he researched the extent to which persons with disabilities face challenges when accessing the websites, electronic case filing and processing systems, and online records of the federal courts. He also worked on identifying key scientific advances in assistive technology that can help make courts more accessible.
At the end of his fellowship, his supervisor said, "We are hopeful that the federal judiciary will have a very concentrated perspective in terms of improvements that can be made in these systems, but certainly heightened sensitivity to the challenges faced by differently-able individuals."
